Positive Stops, Locks & Bolts

Positive stops are used to stop the gate in a specific open or closed position. In many instances, positive stops are built into the gate opener. Most electro-mechanical linear openers have some play in them. It is advisable to use positive stops in the closed position on these installations to ensure the gates line up in the center for a good appearance. They are also used on hydraulic linear openers and below grade openers. See Diagram
