DoorKing 1820 Telephone Intercom System

The model 1820 Telephone Intercom System is a unique communication and access control device that provides two-way voice communication and control of a main entry door through the resident’s own telephone without the need of a central office (C.O.) phone line. The 1820 has an easy to use “call down” feature that allows a building resident to quickly contact the Doorman, Concierge (or any other station designated as the call down station) by pressing two buttons on their touch-tone phone.

The 1820 is a component style system that consists of a lobby panel, main control cabinet, and line interface board. The system is built in accordance with the number of telephone lines to be interfaced with.

Options
• Several different styles of lobby panels are available for use with this system
• A standard touch-tone telephone can be used as the lobby panel with this system.
• PC Programmable 1833, 1834, 1835 and 1837 systems can be used as lobby panels with this system (A central Office (C.O.) phone line must be used with this system when PC programming lobby panels are installed).
• Installing a Central Office (C.O.) phone line provides additional advanced features.

For Every 12 Phone Lines, the System requires:
•One main control or garden cabinet
• One line interface board
• One connecting cable
• One RJ71C phone block

DoorKing 1884-010 Line Interface Board
• Interfaces with up to 12 phone lines.
• To determine the number of boards needed divide the total number of phone lines by 12, then round up to the nearest whole number. Example: 270 phone lines ÷ 12 = 22.5. Round up to 23. For 270 phone lines you will need 23 boards.
