• StrongArm multi-use, hydraulic barrier arm gate operator, designed for performance, reliability, durability and low maintenance. Best suited for sites requiring long and heavy arms, synchronization with other HySecurity operators (SlideDriver and SwingRiser) to prevent tail-gating, spanning airport runways, or controlling traffic across wide openings.
• With few moving parts, StrongArm is designed and engineered for the longest, low maintenance, high performance lifetime. Electronics are protected by extremely high surge-suppression (in case of lightning strike) and offer the ultimate in end-user-programmable functionality with an ultra-low failure rate.
• Certified with a 1 million cycle test and is specified to run up to 2,000 cycles per day.
• Operates using an electric motor driving a hydraulic pump and cylinder. Most parts are bathed in hydraulic fluid and require no periodic lubrication.
• Chassis is uni-body constructed with heavy-duty, 10 gauge welded steel that yields a very rigid, secure housing, which is protected with catalyzed primer and polyurethane enamel paint for a resilient, attractive finish. The galvanized sheet metal cover is secured by a keyed, T-lock for extra security and vandal resistance.
• Available with a variety of barrier arm lengths, barrier arm types and cycle speeds. Can move up to 36 foot arms, come in side or yoke mounts, are manufactured with wood, aluminum, fiberglass, steel, or aluminum/fiberglass combinations.
• Cycle times range from 2 seconds to 8 seconds to open, depending on arm size.
• Appearance ranges from tame to intimidating, depending on the level of security demanded by the site.
• Features the most advanced, flexible and robust controls in the industry. SmartTouch Controller often eliminates the high cost of add on, programmable PLCs, providing on-board integration of most perimeter security applications. Programmable options include vehicle detector reverse or pause only, bi-directional traffic (entrance and exit traffic managed by one StrongArm), hold open for two valid command to open, master/slave, and timer-to-close. Three user relays offer 26 programmable options, making it easy to connect StrongArm to any external access control, obstruction protection, or security device and create complex vehicle entry validation, surveillance, and sequencing. Relays have normally-open or normally-closed connections.
• SmartTouch offers 3 exceedingly simple and formidable troubleshooting tools:
- Real time or downloadable fault, alert and error log that reports tailgating, gate forced open, loop failure (with HY-5A vehicle detectors) and many other gate operation abnormalities for immediate measured security response.
- LCD screen reports faults, alerts and errors.
- LEDs light up to show circuit status.
Saves hours of costly and complicated access control and gate system troubleshooting using HySecurity's SmartTouch troubleshooting tools.
• Users can create complex vehicle entry validation, surveillance, and sequencing without the addition of costly, custom programmable logic controllers.
• Uploading new software to flash memory updates operator with latest features.
• Combination StrongArm, SwingRiser, SlideDriver, or HydraLift users benefit from common hydraulic and electrical components and software, reducing maintenance costs, avoiding excessive parts inventory and eliminating complex, multiple-brand troubleshooting. Facilities personnel need to know only one simple operating system.
• Runs on nearly any available worldwide voltage. Available in DC models (UPS) that continue to operate for 100 cycles during an AC power outage. Separate NEMA-3R enclosure holds two batteries and charger.
• Easy to disengage hydraulics for manual operation.
• Hydraulics certified from -40°F to 167°F (-40°C to 75°C) temperatures
