Most access control systems use some form of plastic ID card. With the popular WP644 Pass-Through Reader, one simple motion through the card slot reads a card. A bi-color LED confirms that a card has been read, then changes color when the door unlocks. Use one card for single or multiple purposes!
The Model WP644 Weatherproof Pass-Through Reader combines ease-of-use with installation flexibility. Available with a white or black housing, the Model WP644 reader mounts on a door mullion, directly on the wall, or on a single-gang electrical box. Connect to access control systems using either a Wiegand or Clock-and-Data input.
Magnetic stripe cards are cost-effective, easy to carry, and easy to use. Users have a choice of badge size and artwork, providing a range from simple, single-purpose access cards to customized photo ID badges. The same magnetic stripe card can be double-encoded for applications ranging from door access, time and attendance, and parking to cafeteria meal purchases, vending, and book check-outs. Card encoding (including photo ID fabrication) can be done at HID or at the dealer's facility. Alternatively, the end-user may choose to do their own card encoding using the Model 420 or Model 450 encoder. Choose the card encoding method that meets your needs!
